Success at International Cheese and Dairy Awards
Longley Farm products have brought home a raft of awards at this year’s International Cheese and Dairy Awards.
Gold awards went to our cottage cheese and chives, natural yogurt, soured cream, Jersey extra rich cream and a selection of four yogurts: banana, blackcurrant, raspberry and lemon. Judges praised the chive flavour and distribution in our cottage cheese. Our Jersey extra rich cream was described as lovely, rich and creamy and our soured cream praised for its velvety consistency and its balanced, clean flavour.
The distinctive flavours of our group of four yogurts wowed the judges so much that they not only won gold for their class but also took home the Clawson Salver trophy for best yogurt in show, with judges enjoying the subtle banana flavour contrasted with the eye-watering lemon.
We also took home a number of bronze and silver awards, with our single cream, crème fraiche and Greek style yogurt with honey all winning silver in their classes, and gooseberry and hazelnut yogurts both taking home a bronze award.
