Tye Trophy recognition for Tyers Hall Farm
Longley Farm’s long service staff honoured at celebration to mark “dedication and hard work”
Not many people work at the same place for life, but there is a huge team of loyal and dedicated people who have worked at Longley Farm, for four decades and more.
“Longley Farm would not be what it is today without the dedication and hard work of the many folk who have worked here over the years. The people recognised at our 2023 long-service awards have dedicated the best part of their careers to Longley Farm, and once you add me into the mix, the total length of service amounts to a thousand years.
“Longley represents the collective effort of a host of individuals, with each leaving their own mark on the place; making it what it is today, and I am very grateful indeed for their loyalty and commitment.”
Longley Farm Celebrates 75 years in Business
Longley Farm, the dairy business home-grown in the Holme Valley of West Yorkshire, which produces best-selling cottage cheese, cream and yogurt, is marking 75 years of trade.
Since launching in 1948, with just 30 acres and ten cows on land in Holmfirth, the firm now has 120 staff and is a proud multinational organisation, with a small farm in Uruguay and a successful operation in Australia, which supplies the Far East.

Longley Farm extends its sincere condolences to the Royal Family at this time and would like to pay tribute to Her Majesty’s incredible achievements over her 70-year reign and especially her active interest in food and farming.
Her sense of duty and unconditional love of her people will never be forgotten. We are deeply saddened by her loss.
The nation is now readying itself for The Queen’s State Funeral on Monday 19th September and as a mark of our respect, we will be closed on this day.
We will reopen on Tuesday 20th September.
Doing our bit!
At Longley Farm we've been making cottage cheese for nearly 50 years. In 2022 we have made the decision to remove the plastic over-lids on our cottage cheese range, to reduce the plastic consumption of Longley Farm to reduce our environmental impact.
