2024 ICDA Results
We are delighted to announce our recent success at this year's International Cheese and Dairy Awards. Our luxury Jersey butter was crowned the best, with judges praising its "well-rounded flavour and delightful mouthfeel."
Donation of two Jersey Calves
On the 9th and 10th of January 2024 two beautiful Jersey cows were born at Tyers Hall Farm - part of Longley Farm. Rather than staying at Tyers Hall to join the rest of the herd, these two calves have a new job and a new home, thanks to the collaboration and creative thinking of Paul Robson, Manager of Tyers Hall Farm, and the team at Wigfield Farm.

Tyers Hall Farm, our mixed farm on the eastern side of Barnsley and home of our pedigree Jersey herd, was recently recognised as a finalist in the Yorkshire Agricultural Society’s “Tye Trophy” award for conservation.

Not many people work at the same place for life, but there is a huge team of loyal and dedicated people who have worked at Longley Farm, for four decades and more.
“Longley Farm would not be what it is today without the dedication and hard work of the many folk who have worked here over the years. The people recognised at our 2023 long-service awards have dedicated the best part of their careers to Longley Farm, and once you add me into the mix, the total length of service amounts to a thousand years.
“Longley represents the collective effort of a host of individuals, with each leaving their own mark on the place; making it what it is today, and I am very grateful indeed for their loyalty and commitment.”
