Please read this privacy notice carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your Personal Data and how we will treat it. This notice applies to individuals who interact with Longley Farm as an individual consumers. This Notice explains how your Personal Data is collected, used, and disclosed by Longley Farm. It also tells you how you can access and update your personal data and make certain choices about how your personal data is used.
This Notice covers both our online and offline data collection activities, including personal data that we collect through our various channels such as our website, third party social networks, consumer engagement service, points of sale and events. Please note that we might aggregate personal data from different sources (website, offline event). As part of this, we combine personal data that were originally collected by different Longley Farm entities or partners.
If you do not provide necessary personal data to us we may not be able to provide you with our goods and/or services.
What information do we process?
When you get in touch with us either through our website, by email, by letter or by phone, we process the information you provide us with in order to respond to your enquiry. This information may include:

- Your address
- Your phone number
- Your email address
- Your message – this may be a compliment, enquiry or complaint. It could include details of a product you have bought from us.
What do we do with this information?
We only ever use your personal information internally, in order to respond to your question and improve our service. For example, if you write to us with a complaint or question we will use the information you give us to investigate and get back to you with our findings. We also keep a record of complaints and queries we receive, to monitor trends and continuously improve. We never share any identifiable information (e.g. name or contact details) with a third party without your consent, however, we may need to share the contents of your message with a third party. For example, if your complaint related to a problem with one of our suppliers we might share the content of your message with them, so they can understand the problem and help us resolve it.
We love it when you write to us to tell us how much you like our products, and we like to share that information with the team involved in making them, so if you write to us with a compliment, that information will be shared internally with members of staff at Longley Farm. Your comments may also be used on our website. In this case we would only share the content of your message and never any identifiable information. If you would prefer us not to do so, please let us know.
IP Addresses
Our webservers might collect the IP address that you use when visiting our website and put this into log files that monitor our servers to help us keep them secure. We will never try to use this IP address to identify you personally.
Our website may use the location of your device or IP address to find the nearest stockist to you; this will only happen when you visit our find a stockist page and actively use it. Our website, like many others, is built and run using software and tools that we haven’t made. We have taken care to ensure that no personal information is gathered by this software and would be very surprised and angry if there was!
Cookies
As far as we are aware the only cookies used on this website are necessary to enable you to view the website properly.
Sources of Personal Data
This Notice applies to Personal Data that we collect from or about you, through the methods described below, from the following sources:
- Longley Farms official website or other social media platforms websites operated by or for Longley Farm, including sites that we operate under our own domains/URLs and mini-sites that we run on third party social networks such as Facebook.
- E-mail and other electronic messages Interactions with electronic communications between you and our administration or management team at the office in Holmfirth.
- Customer Services Communications and information shared with our administration team at the office in Holmfirth.
- Offline registration forms Printed or digital registration and similar forms that we collect via, for example, postal mail, in-store demos, contests and other promotions, or events.
Personal data of children
We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from children below the age of 16. If we discover that we have unintentionally collected personal data from a child below 16, we will remove that child’s personal data from our records promptly. However, Longley Farm may collect personal data about children below the age of 16 years of age from the parent or guardian directly, and with that person’s explicit consent.
Security
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
We do not share your personal information with any third parties.
Marketing
We have an email newsletter that you can sign up to if you are interested in hearing news from the dairy. You can sign up to this on our website. We will only add you to this list if you have ticked yes on our webform, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so.
Your rights over the data (e.g. modification, deletion and Access).
You are entitled to access or amend any data we hold about you should you wish. If this is the case, you should get in touch in writing.
You can request that we delete your personal data, transfer it to you or other third parties, correct or revise your Personal Data; limit the use and disclosure of your Personal Data; and revoke consent to any of our data processing activities.
Please note that, in certain circumstances, we will not be able to delete your personal data without also deleting your account at the dairy. We may be required to retain some of your personal data after you have requested deletion, to satisfy our legal or contractual obligations.
We hope that we can satisfy queries you may have about the way we process your personal data. However, if you have unresolved concerns you also have the right to complain to competent data protection authorities.

Longley Farm takes every reasonable step to ensure that your personal data is only processed for the minimum period necessary for the purposes set out in this notice. The criteria for determining the retention period for your personal data is:

1. We maintain an ongoing relationship with you (e.g. where you are included in our mailing list and have not unsubscribed)
