Green Grants Available in the Holme Valley

Now in its fourth year of operation the Bright Green Community Trust (BGCT) is inviting applications from community-based groups in the Holme Valley for grants which can help deliver projects to reduce carbon emissions and build awareness of climate change.

Holme Valley Hardship Fund

Longley Farm is supporting the Holme Valley South Covid-19 Hardship Fund, set up by Councillor Paul Davies and coordinated by the Holmfirth Tech, in its role of Community Anchor.

The hardship fund supports local people with an immediate financial need as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Yogurt Pot Games

Southgate School have found a clever way to reuse Longley Farm yogurt pots. The creative kids in Fox Class have come up with two great games you can play using empty yogurt pots and some recycled cardboard boxes.

Hama Beads for Heroes

Alex and Imogen Spray (the children of Sarah Spray who works at Tyers Hall Farm) have been busy making Hama bead signs to brighten the days of family, friends and key workers, and to raise funds to support the NHS.

Longley Farm staff raise over £4000 for Kirkwood Hospice

In 2019, members of staff at Longley Farm voted for local charity Kirkwood Hospice as our Charity of the Year. Over the course of the year, staff raised money by selling raffle tickets, bake sales, a sponsored walk and other fundraising events such as a summer BBQ and Christmas party.

Natural cottage cheese available in more Sainsbury's stores

You can now find our delicious natural cottage cheese in even more Sainsbury's stores all over the UK, including some new locations in Scotland, North Wales and Northern Ireland.
