Longley Farm is in many ways a rare breed (ask anyone who works here and they will tell you we have our quirks!). We like to keep things as natural as possible, even if that means going the long way round to make a nice product, so it’s hardly surprising we have a soft spot for other rare and unusual creatures.
As well as competing at the Great Yorkshire Show, this year we also got invited by Asda to come and sample some of our products. We decided to sample one of our less famous products, Fromage Frais, to try and find out what the Great Yorkshire Show-goers thought about it.
Longley Farm products have gone down well with the judges at the Great Yorkshire Show for many years now, and this year was no different, as we walked away with a string of fantastic results at this year's Cheese and Dairy Show.
Longley Farm has long been at the forefront of green energy since commissioning England's first commercial wind turbine back in 1986. After years of steady running, the original turbine is obsolete and ready to be decommissioned, but instead of just replacing it with a similar model we have decided to partner up with Holmfirth Transition Town in the hopes of making even more impact in improving the local environment.
Longley Farm had another successful year at the Great Yorkshire Show 2014. The Great Yorkshire Show celebrates the agricultural heritage of the region, attracting over 100,000 visitors over the three day event.
