Master The Perfect Toffee Sauce
Made with our luxury Jersey butter and fresh Jersey double cream. This smooth, velvety toffee sauce is the perfect topping for your favourite dessert. Drizzle over Ice Cream, puddings, pancakes or even fruit for a touch of luxury.
Ingredients:
- 250g Longley Farm double cream
- 100g light brown sugar
- 50g Longley Farm luxury Jersey butter
- 1tbsp black treacle
Method:
- In a small saucepan, combine all the ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is bubbling gently.
- Allow it to simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Use straight away or cool down and store in the fridge for a week. The sauce can be gently heated back up in a pan if it becomes solid in the fridge.
