One Community Fund Opens Again

Applications have now opened up for the 2016 round of grants from the Longley Farm Farm Fund, a fund we set up in 2010 as a way to better manage our charitable giving.

The fund is one of twelve managed by One Community, the Kirklees Community Foundation. The Foundation was established in 2010 to encourage local giving, and to act as an independent source of funding for local voluntary activities. It manages charitable funds on behalf of individuals and companies from across Kirklees.

Who can apply?

The Longley Farm Fund aims to support artistic, cultural and voluntary activities within the Graveship of Holme, so if you have a project that needs funding and your group is located in the Upper Holme Valley (Holmfirth, Austonley, Upperthong, Holme, Cartworth, Wooldale, Hepworth, Fulstone or Netherthong) we would love to hear from you.

How do I apply?

To apply, download an application form here from the One Community website

You should check the eligibility criteria on the website before making an application and if you need any help completing the form, or if you have any questions, please call the Foundation Office on 01484 468397

Applications remain open until Monday 12th September 2016. Funding applications will then be considered on merit by a panel, and decisions will be announced before Christmas.

Don't meet the criteria?

If you have a great project but are based somewhere else in Kirklees, or you are worried your project doesn't fit the Longley Farm Fund, have a look on the One Community website. They have 12 different funds with a variety of aims, so it may be you can get funding elsewhere.
